Stephanie Brennan

Owner / Coach
Stephanie is a three-time CrossFit Games Masters competitor (2014, 2015, 2019). She discovered CrossFit in 2013 after several years of similar training that lacked the competitive edge she was seeking. Following her first team competition in the spring of 2013, she was all-in—and has never looked back.
Beyond her passion for CrossFit, Stephanie is deeply committed to building a strong, supportive community. With over 20 years of experience as a labor and delivery nurse, she continues to serve in that role at a local hospital. She is a dedicated advocate for women’s health and believes CrossFit is one of the most effective fitness modalities for promoting longevity and combating the physical changes that come with aging.

Chris Saunders

Coach Christopher discovered CrossFit in 2014 and never looked back. What started as a search for effective training became a genuine love for the methodology—the constant variety, the measurable progress, and the community it builds. He brings that same enthusiasm into every class he coaches.

With a CrossFit Level 2 certification, USAW Level 1, and a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo, Christopher combines years of athletic experience with a passion for helping others move well and have fun doing it.

Josiah Hortega

Coach Josiah joined Bantam CrossFit in October 2020 and lost 50 pounds through disciplined training, consistent effort, and Macrostax nutrition. Guided by Coach Stephanie, his transformation was built one rep and one meal at a time.

A Marine Corps veteran with eight years of service and recently retired from the Department of Homeland Security, Josiah brings leadership, accountability, and empathy to the floor. He lives by the belief that discipline equals freedom and coaches with heart.

A husband to a fellow CrossFitter and a father of four, Josiah is also an endurance athlete who has completed six marathons and three 50Ks. In 2024, he partnered with another Bantam member to train 11 first-time marathon runners over 16 weeks—every athlete finished.

Anne-Marie Laboe

Coach Anne-Marie has built lasting strength through years of CrossFit and disciplined nutrition, driven by relentless focus and dedication. With tough resolve and a supportive approach, she pushes athletes beyond their perceived limits, helping them discover new confidence and capability. Her coaching emphasizes smart programming, consistent effort, and sustainable habits that promote growth inside and outside the gym. At Bantam, she fosters a steadfast, encouraging community where every athlete feels challenged, supported, and empowered. She meets each person where they are, guiding them forward with patience, accountability, and belief, helping them unlock their full potential and embrace the transformative power of strength, fitness, and resilience.

ABOUT US

At Bantam CrossFit, our focus is a community-based environment that is supportive for individuals of all ages and ability levels. We welcome athletes ages 10 and up, and strive to attract those who want CrossFit for general health as well as those who would like to compete in the sport of CrossFit.
